Still Dreamin’ – Almost There!

Events News

After working on my first manuscript for about 11 years, I decided to stop procrastinating and
get the “thing” published for once and for all! That was fall 2021 – as you may have surmised,
my “determination” has still dragged a bit – It’s now 2023 and I still have at least another 2
months to go before I actually have a completed book in my hands. It’s a bit frustrating, but I
am getting there. Slowly but surely – a turtle can still make it to the finish line. Whew!

Honestly – somewhere in the midst of all this delay, may be a little fear about actually sharing
my creation – a thing that requires birthing – with the world outside of my closest family and
those I consider friends. I’ve found that it was much easier to publish a book – Come Drink from
My Cup – on behalf of my brother, than to put my own work out in the public arena.

On a scale of 1:10 – Introvert: Extrovert – I rack up a high 4 – and that, only because I loved
teaching so much and really wanted to do it well for my students. No way to be good at it
without stepping up and sharing a bit of myself in public spaces – speaking to parent groups,
sharing with my colleagues at meetings and conferences, eventually becoming a Coordinator
and Administrator.

I’m not there yet as an Author. I’ve been working toward it by writing blogs, offering a few
presentations – hoping to do more with these opportunities! So, here’s my first pre-release
effort. For anyone who’s reading this – I’m breakin’ loose and putting it out there. Yes, I know
I’ve been saying “Coming Soon” for a while. But believe me, this time – even though I don’t yet
have a publication date, my Editor has said that Austin Macauley, my hybrid publishing partner,
has targeted August to have printed copies ready for my book launch.

I’m excited! Please look out for more announcements shortly – I’ll be setting up my Launch
Parties and visits to Book stores, interviews, and distribution events. You’re invited! Watch me
now – almost there!
