The Jamaica Cultural Alliance (JCA) is an organization that offers opportunities for community enlightenment about the true culture and multi-faceted lifestyle of the people of Jamaica, the West Indies, and the Caribbean at large.
Located in Los Angeles since 1997, JCA has worked with the entertainment industry, many community groups, and entities in Jamaica to broaden understanding and appreciation of the heritage and history of the region.
A Historic Cultural Exchange
Next weekend, we invite members of the Greater Los Angeles area to join us in welcoming Kasike Kalaan, Chief of Jamaica’s Indigenous Taino people, and his family.
They will be hosted and celebrated at the Kuruvungna Village Springs and Cultural Center by Chief Anthony and members of the Gabrielino Tongva Tribe, the indigenous peoples of Los Angeles. Together, these indigenous leaders will engage in a ceremony and cultural exchange celebrating their resilience, traditions, and shared heritage.

JCA Annual Tea Party
On the following day, Sunday, July 13, 2025, Kasike Kalaan will participate in the JCA Annual Tea Party. During this elegant gathering, he will share stories about the Taino people’s quest to raise awareness of their history and their rich contributions to Jamaica’s heritage.
